Frequently asked questions
How accurate is it?
Extraction accuracy depends on drawing quality and how the information is presented — clean, typed schedules extract more reliably than handwritten margin notes. We do not claim perfect accuracy. Anything the system can't confidently resolve is flagged for your review rather than guessed, and nothing reaches your takeoff without a source you can click back to. You verify before you rely on it.
Does this replace my estimator?
No. It accelerates the review pass — reading every sheet, organizing scope by division, and surfacing what needs a second look — so your estimator spends time confirming and pricing instead of manually transcribing schedules.
What can't it do yet?
Symbol counting and geometric measurement from drawings aren't supported in this version. Anything that would require them is flagged as outside detection capability, with the sheet location, rather than silently skipped.
Do you process payments from my clients?
No. PreConstruct AI bills your subscription only. Payment arrangements with your clients — e-transfer, cheque, your own invoicing link — are entirely between you and them; we render your instructions as text on the proposal.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Uploaded documents are not used to train third-party models.
